Maybe the biggest drop in depth for our program over the last year has been at CM.

MAK is terrible now. Osorio is not the play he was before his big injury a year ago. Atiba is retired.

We are basically Staq and a +1 in midfield. We really need Choiniere or another player to step up in CM.

The two players on cards need to come off for Loturi and Kennedy at the half, if they don't get sent off first!

Meija is playing jedi mind tricks with Bombito too.  Totally targeting the young kid to see if he can out fox him.  Good test for Bombito.

What is this nonsense about Choiniere’s injury issues? Why does this matter when he was fully healthy at the time of the roster drop? We don’t have the depth, especially at midfield, to not call an MLS all-star

was he even on the preliminary roster?

This is a myth that persists on this board. He has not been performing for Canada for quite some time. He was a starter at the last Gold Cup with a better team around him, and accomplished nothing.

He scored last game, and on this squad, he is our best striker. It may not be all that threatening, but other than maybe Hoilett, who else is there?

For the long time fans.  We will always have that 2022 WCQ run…. Haha

too bleak! 😀

well, to be pretty blunt, Canada's players and management punted earlt on this tournament, and decided to give another swath of players a chance to perform.  Which is fine.  They all have 3 more halves to shows us their stuff.  Some have done ok, others less so, but the national team squad is certainly learning some things.  Let's see if Herdman tactics make a difference.

This is how you build depth...these young fringe guys gotta play and go through growing pains...now it'd be nice if some of these guys started to play well...but the thing is the guys who look bad in 3 straight games you can drop them down the list and rotate some more guys in until you find some guys
