CONCACAF Nations League Finals 2023 - Voyageurs Travel Thread

I've been to Vegas a bunch of times, sometimes in the summer, and as recently as March even went to Allegiant Stadium for a concert. Just wanted to share a couple of tips re: minimizing walking in 35C weather:

1) There is a free A/C'd tram between Luxor, Excalibur, and Mandalay Bay. MB is the closest strip hotel to the stadium.

2) If staying further north, consider using the monorail that runs on the east side of the strip. It will only get you so far as MGM grand but from there you can cross the street to New York New York and then to Excalibur to catch the tram.

3) Uber/Lyft will work fine to get to the stadium, but it is a complete shitshow getting out. Walk to Mandalay Bay, then go from there.

And for Vegas itself, everything on google maps and to your eye looks close. It's not. It takes over an hour to walk from the south end (near stadium) to north end (Circus Circus). If you have to do this, move from A/C'd casino to casino and drink plenty of water. The heat is brutal in the summer.

Thanks to @JamboAl and the others who helped to organize the events in Vegas.  Much appreciated.

Was great to meet up with some other Voyageurs.

I'm back in Toronto now, along with Cyle Larin and his young family that were seated right in front of me on the flight back.  In coach like the rest of us, and he didn't even recline his seat. 👍🏼

It was my pleasure!  Thanks to my fellow Voyageurs such as Larry Zima, Michael Schwanke and David Swaine (and many others) who helped out with the marches.  Every single Canadian supporter there made the team proud.
