So so so proud of our boys.  One bad decision to let Davies take the penalty and one defensive lapse.
Not a time to allow a sentimental penalty kick.  As proud as I am of our boys.  I’m struggling to get over that choice of penalty taker.

As we all know, football is the ultimate game within a game.  In the end Belgium won by what the final score said, but Canada totally won the game within the game.  They had better composure on and off the ball.  I am very proud of this team.

We didn’t bend over. We attacked. Belgium took their chance and we didn’t. Croatia and Morocco on notice.

Feel like this was our easiest chance to get a W, but what an effort nonetheless. So many of our MLS guys like Miller, Johnston and Laryea looked so good. This was the best I've ever seen Kamal Miller play.

Pretty crazy mix of emotions. 

Extremely proud of the boys and the way they played.  No one can be critical of the effort.  

But, having played so it is well, it is disappointing it to get a result.  Some missed opportunities, some poor decisions (sorry, but Davies doesn’t take that PK in my world) and you have to think that we let Belgium off the hook today. 

Again, it is dumbfounding to even think that was a possibility before the game, but it is still true - we could be a win or drawn today.  

But proud of you boys.  And proud of every V that made the trip and was cheering from the stands.  Well done.

Ran out of gas at 70'. Tough to watch the lads want it so much but have so little energy left.

Hopefully, we're able to get up to fitness for Croatia.

Great effort but they will regret missing their many opportunities. I can't get over Davies taking that pen and I think that will haunt us after the tournament is over.

Ultimately proud of what this team showed against Belgium, but have to feel like it's a missed opportunity.

David and Larin's finishing unfortunately doesn't seem to be at the elite level. David at the very least could improve but that cross that came right at him and he couldn't barely do anything with it about summed it up.

I think if Croatia don't change their game plan they ran against Morocco we have a chance but now Morocco is must win.

Not going to complain after that performance. Overall it was all that we could ask for.

I just hope we score a goal next match.

We had it right there in our hands but unfortunately we lost but such is football

One missed penalty and one missed penalty call.  The result could have been different.

I was worried we'd end up losing 4 - 0, and playing like we did against Uruguay.  We played very well, and I think we were the better side.

What's disappointing is we've still never scored a goal at the World Cup.

How does a draw/ win look for us? We’d need Belgium to win out.

Damn, that sucks. 

A few words stand out for me:

Proud. Enough said. 

Inexperience. At this level, cost us the goal. 

Effort. Lads left it all out there. 

Clinical. They were, we weren’t. 

Disappointed. We deserved something more than zero points.

Encouraged  We can go into our next two games with many positives from this match (including the earlier result today).

I don't have a lot of time for any negative reactions to this game. Canada was better and football happened.
