Probably my own lack of sophistication but I would prefer Larin on the bench against Croatia and Belgium and an extra midfielder.  But I guess our strength is our attack so you dance with the ones who brought you.

Piette would be fine, even against a top opponent, playing in a pure destroyer DM role. That role doesn't exist for Herdman so he shouldn't be starting.

That probably means Kone or Kaye playing some big minutes, though, which is risky.

I doubt we actually see Piette start at the WC. Eustaqio starts all 3, Hutch probably starts 2, Osorio maybe Kone start 1.
