Considering recent events, I'm not sure we would see a lot of new sponsors coming in....or maybe that could also be the contrary.

Well, it looks like plenty of sponsors have begun to walk away from Hockey Canada due to the sexual assault scandals.  Maybe Bontis should be out there with a sign that reads "This Way Please".

I totally forgot about the Sponsors pulling out of Hockey Canada  with the scandal going on over there . This is a good time to move in there  for the CSA but Im sure If The CSA  did land these Corporate partners people here will just whine non stop,

I find it interesting that those cool looking Canada Cups are being sold by 7-Eleven an American Company, Nice to see a American company step up to the plate .

The deal guaranteed Canada Soccer a baseline level of revenue of $3 million a year, and the vast majority of everything after that — chiefly sponsorship deals and broadcast revenues — goes to CSB. 

 

 So the CSA doesn't benefit from any new corporate sponsors like Osmows?

Does this mean that the CSA only makes money from gate receipts?

Nobody knows for sure how the deal works.

It's part of the reason that June window shit show happened

And if it is separate $, I wonder if the player's would pool some of that so the whole team benefits in some way.

If I'm a major sponsor looking toward this world cup, I'm just talking to Davies/David/Buchanan's agents directly, and not bothering with sponsoring the full team. They're the faces you'd want promoting your product anyway, and the CSA/CSB is a shitshow.
