These teams are not good. Australia organized as ever, but just meh. Peru kind of flashy, but ultimately no final ball.

100%.  Peru missing Yotun was a huge loss for them today.  Lapadula was a decent pickup for Peru but they have not been able to replace the goals they used to get with Guerrero & Farfan.

Costa Rica book their trip to the World Cup by defeating New Zealand 1-0.  Costa Rica scored early and NZ carried the majority of the play for the rest of the game, even after picking up a red card and going to 10 men. That means there will be 4 teams from Concacaf in for only the second time.

CSA need to announce the September friendlies ASAP. We need to quickly forget about this last window and move on with something positive, regain the upward momentum that was there after the end of qualifying.

We need to bury this window and forget about it..it was an anomaly. I think the boys will come out firing in September friendlies ready to show what they are made of

NZ got concacaf'd.  The Ticos started time wasting in the 4th minute.  Chris Wood scored in the 39th minute, but after a delay, VAR wiped-out the goal based on a really (and I mean really) questionable 50/50 foul in the build up.

Also mods should move this to the World Cup sub forum

Well, it is kind of ambiguous...this is the thread for friendlies before we reach Qatar.

Depressing to see Mexico lay out their friendlies into November while we haven’t even figured September out yet.

Typical.

We should be tracking the news of all AFC teams. We will likely be playing one in Europe.

On the Northern Futbol podcast today they said the CSA is trying to secure a friendly "with a top 4 or 5 CONMEBOL nation to be played in Europe".

This sounds like it's either Peru or Colombia.

In Europe? If we are playing in Europe it won't be one of those two teams since we know they are playing in North America.
