dyslexic nam
With another goal last night, JRR moves into first place in the NextPro scoring race. He really needs to be recalled to the first team. Next season he either needs to play consistently with Crew or get loaned out to another MLS side (or to another league). lowlander, johnyb, Corazon and 7 others

That’s a pretty impressive strike rate. Exactly a goal a match.

Stryker911
JRR actually got 4 goals and an assist while Farsi only played the second half and got 2 goals and 3 assists. JRR leads the league in goals while Farsi leads the league in assists. If they don't move up next year it will essentially mean there in no point to this league. Big_M
except theyve already moved up..both signed first team contracts and farsi was on the bench for the first team today..can only have 20 players on the sheet so they havent always made it..just gotta keep working and be patient Corazon, canuckgbp and Dominic94
Dominic94
I would think Rusell is either promoted or sold, that’s a strike rate that will catch eyes and it’s golden boot for him. canuckgbp, PegCityCam and johnyb

InglewoodJack
From the very limited stuff I saw, his Nashville cameos were very solid this year? He deserves his shot at the MLS next year- I mean, the league kinda needs him to move up a step, because what does it say if your (by far) best goal scorer in your developmental league can’t actually play first team? If Columbus doesn’t rate him for some weird reason, I’d love for Montreal to give him a shot. Rea is supposed to be the Mihailovic replacement, but not opposed to bringing in a second option. I wonder if any clubs abroad rate this at all. Would the winner of the MLS Next Pro golden boot get a look at some top club academies in Europe? I think 20 is a bit old for a new player, but I wonder what the interest is for a guy with JRR’s resume at this point. That said, I can’t blame any player for signing there with the opportunities that come along with it. PegCityCam

Ozzie_the_parrot
Main thing is that he is receiving regular playing time while presumably also still having a chance to train with the first team during the week rather than sitting on the bench or in the stands as could easily have happened in the past. narduch
If he is too good for Next Pro you are stunting his development by not playing him at a higher level.

InglewoodJack
7G 2A in the last two games. If he doesn’t make an impact in MLS next year, this league should get shut down. Stryker911
If he had put up even half as many goals in CPL, he would be a 6 figure transfer fee. Very curious to see where he ends up. P-O

He was sent down for playing time because they got Cucho, JRR was great in his stint and belonged, he just got in at the wrong time.
