It's up for debate, but from the fifa rules, my interpretation is that an Egypt win in PSO will earn full points for the win. Therefore, whoever wins the PSO will be in Pot 3. The only way we surpass SEN/EGY is if both sides score in the next 10mins. Floortom

Note: In some instances, games end with a winner after regular or extended time, but still include a PSO to determine the team that eventually will get to the next round. These games are treated as normal wins and defeats. https://digitalhub.fifa.com/m/f99da4f73212220/original/edbm045h0udbwkqew35a-pdf.pdf sstackho and Allez les Rouges

If DR Congo, Mali or North Macedonia win, the boys don't even have to win in Panama Edited March 29, 2022 by Cblake

But the document on FIFA.com says: "In some instances, games end with a winner after regular or extended time, but still include a PSO to determine the team that eventually will get to the next round. These games are treated as normal wins and defeats." Seems pretty clear that EGY advancing on PSO = game counts as loss of EGY, no? It wouldn't make sense to count in one case and not the other; we're still talking about a loss on the day but advancement in the tie. sstackho
It seems silly that goals in ET can affect the FIFA points, but a PSO in a two-leg match cannot (EDIT: unless the second-leg ended in a draw?). But that's how I read the regulations. Edited March 29, 2022 by sstackho Miche
