Someone (Wheeler?) said the capacity for these 2 away games weren't reduced.

Could be, but most countries that do not have high vaccination rates are reduced or even without fans.

We will have to wait and see.

sportsmole has a preview...

https://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/honduras/world-cup-2022/preview/preview-honduras-vs-canada-prediction-team-news-lineups_476161.html

doesn't  offer any insight as to how the game could play out, just a description of what has transpired for both sides.

their new manager has taken a few sides to the world cup, but i don't think he's faced Canada, or is  familiar with them outside of scouting and reports?

"The 65-year-old is one of only three coaches that has guided three different sides to the FIFA World Cup (Colombia, Ecuador and Panama)"

what i do like is they are notoriously poor with predictions (in fairness, it's not an easy thing).  they are calling for 0-0, which is possible, but now i'm more confident of anything but that (hopefully a result for canada).

There was some talk in r/ussoccer that DeAndre Yedlin faced delays getting out of Turkey Sunday/Monday due to inclement weather. Wondering if Adekugbe faced the same problems. Either way, he played 90 mins Sunday, so there’s a good chance we don’t see him start in Honduras.

FWIW, the defence in the reverse fixture in Toronto was:

Laryea - Miller - Vitoria - Johnston

Could see something similar with Kennedy/Cornelius slotting in for Miller.

Could also run this depending on how much respect they want to show to Alberth Elis (a lot):

Laryea                                                    Buchanan

            Kennedy - Vitoria - Johnston

Fuck it, I'm pumped for this game. I trust in Herdman, he got us to beat the Americans and Mexico in a competitive game since who the fuck knows how long. He has us on the verge of qualifying to a World Cup, and I have absolute faith that with him we will finally overcome that obstacle that has always been facing Honduras, a team I both despise and respect. Lets make right what happened a decade ago, and fuck, I hope Estadio Olimpico is paccccked, because listening to 40000 Hondurans boo their players off the field after the ass whooping we're about to give them will be music to my ears. I trust our coach, our coaching staff, and most importantly, our players, and I know they are pumped and ready to embrace the chaos that awaits them. We are playing for qualify to a damn World Cup. LFG

What’s the sentiment like with Honduran fans?  Is there a Honduran message board like this ?  Curious what they are thinking…

aside from the delusional supporters, they seem pretty pessimistic of their players and their coach (the current friendly they lost against Colombia I believe did not help), and are just hoping they can at least finish this octagonal ranked higher than 8th

Can't overlook their attack... Quioto, Ellis and Lozano. When we faced them in September, we only saw Quioto off the bench. The other two weren't in the squad.

And to me Quito is the “worst” of the three. If they play all three to start on Thursday, it will be a great test for our defence.

Here's Atiba scoring against Honduras in San Pedro Sula in 2004 at the age of 21.

Don’t know much about this game.  Did we deserve the win and heartbreak of the goal by Honduras in the 92nd, or did they dominate the game?

Don't remember. But didn't we have an even later goal disallowed? I recall a disallowed goal in HON/CRC.

Honduras tied both games in the 2004 cycle in ST.
