The circumstances here are that the guys ahead of him are regular starters with substanial bodies of work on their CVs, even Sirois.  If one of those three suddenly turned into a back up getting only rotational starts, then maybe that is a different story.

As mentioned by others, Gavran has a great chance now at club level to solidify his future with the club and enhance his NT cred and I hope that happens.

With our younger keepers, so many with potential from so many diverse backgrounds, and our rising CBs, we really need just a couple to rise to a higher level and become elite level. With that, our team in 2026 will be something else altogether.

Surprised TFC didn't wait until after Copa to assess what they have in Gavran, but it depends on what the $s were for the extension.

Gavran most likely will start for TFC once EURO and Copa starts and if that happens, he actually would make a great backup. Every time he has started for TFC, we have been nothing short of brilliant with him as our goalkeeper.

Got the start today, Toronto was very poor. Don’t think he can be faulted for the goals and probably stopped this from being worse than it was.

Yeah I guess I can't really blame him much last night but our team has to be better

I mean. His defenders need to give him a shout there.  It’s clear he doesn’t see him.  Honestly, that could happen to anyone. Smart play by the attacker

Give me a break. He literally has the attacker walk by him 3 feet away and somehow forgets he’s behind him.

Yep. But it was a split second before he threw the ball down. All of them walked out with their backs to the goal and not one looked back and said anything before Thompson pointed which was too late

Aside from Thompson, that is 7 TFC players including Gavran checked out and not focused on the play, just waiting for the ref's whistle.  That is the issue with this team, there is no focus, extra or f*cks being given.

Starts at the top. If your most expensive players and ownership don’t give a shit why would the rest of the team?

The last 4 games have felt a lot like the 2nd half of last season.  Doesn’t seem to be any effort or accountability.  Feels like they’re just playing out the season.  Players not in the same page and it definitely does not feel like the players would run threw a brick wall for eachother like they would with Canada under Herdman.

How many of the goals in the last 4 games haven’t come from our mistakes or errors?  Maybe 1, 2? Out of 10.

From an outsiders perspective, it seems like TFC is speedrunning the Herdman experience. Starts well, hits a stride through sheer motivation power, cracks in the foundation appear, and then it all goes to shit. It took us like 2 years for that to happen, for TFC it’s been like 8 weeks.

Sirois breathing a sigh of relief that the MLS shaqting a fool award won’t be going to him this year for the wind gust goal.
