We hosted and won I believe the U20 tourney when Julian De Guzman was in that age group (so a little while ago 😬)

And I know your question is specific to CONCACAF but just for anyone who hasn’t been following for a long time, we hosted the U20 World Cup in 2007.

This is not a good way to promote this sport or Honduras......it is almost impossible to play good soccer under these conditions...and it will get worst more you advance in the competion

2 games a day per field, for 6 consecutive days. Then 1 day for the fields to recover, followed by 2 games per field per day for 2 days. Then after a day of no games, they switch to a 3rd field and play the last 7 games there (in the span of 6 days).

Play your best squad, score several goals and then start subbing in for players like Smith, Zouhir, Wright, to not overwork them for the first elimination game.

Yeah by half they should ha e a good idea if they can get 10 goals

It's all about the win but also growing team chemistry further and playing catch up on other teams that already have it.

I've noticed that Guatemala and El Salvador have a pretty big contingent of Americans on their team. This is a glimpse in to the future of Concacaf football. El Salvador's entire starting lineup is basically American. I see these teams strengthening and potentially in the near future fielding teams almost entirely consisting of Americans. 

Side note* Also noticed a player from Guatemala plays for a team called Juvuntud Canadiense
