I was refering to European nations. Ie Finland or Slovenia or take your pick of a nation that struggles to get in to the expanded Euros. 

I did not intend of offend anyone here. 

Also, I prefer that our prospects develop here then in those countries. As the MLS teams are loaded and in my opinion have better resources to develop our own players.

Obviously this preliminary list doesn't mean everyone on it will accept a call but other than those involved in the last camp it is great to see:

- Dias (hope he comes!)

- Rutty (even though he likely won't be fit)

- Koleosho (is he also on the US list is the question)

- Atanassov (has first team pro experience)

- Zouhir (highly rated and a dual)

And Knight-Lebel (highly rated and didn't play much last camp)

Don't know much about Lukas Sarakinis either.

Very tough to get that to 20!

This provisional roster has the most talent and professional experience a Canada U20 team has ever seen. 
Massive progress, but also need it in the results.

To add there's so much on the line with this also being Olympic qualifying. If we do qualify, that means a whole other list of guys (that missed out due to Covid) that could potentially be on that list like Kone, Priso, Rea, Nelson, Kerr, Colyn, etc. 

That's why I hope whoever is healthy is released by their clubs...but I know its a hope and a prayer.

Doesn't seem like the US u-20 list is public yet. Clubs releasing players won't just be our problem though.

I hadn’t realized how many of TFC’s teenage first team players were too old for an U20 tourney being played this year. So it is basically literally under 20 (that is you are ineligible if you 20 at any before the end of the calendar year, so a guy like Kerr who doesn’t turn 20 until November gets screwed).

It's stupid. It's never done like this, usually if you turn the U# in a calendar year you are eligible. Don't know why this is different.

I think its cause the actual U20 World Cup is next year in 2023 so for qualifying they wontt allow players who are eligible now but won't be next year play.

Atanasov being on the list is great since it means he's open to making a switch to Canada from the Bulgaria youth teams. He'd also bring a lot of pro experience which is always invaluable.

Also I wanted to add, we were all excited to see Ronan Kratt in the 3.Liga next year but Ulm bottled promotion right at the end and finished second in their region.

Hope so! If it's like previous 60 man provisional lists, the players on the lists are eligible but haven't necessarily said yes to a call up. Does mean ths CSA are pursuing them though, so fingers crossed.
