montreal likely to play at cepsum and 1-2 at saputo...around 5k places there...right beside a subway station but not good for parking...think a small stadium like that and right beside a subway stop is a good solution for them

CEPSUM is the Université de Montréal Stadium.

If there's great Canadian players at Roses FC let me know. If yes I might go see some Roses FC games.

I'll have to take the Montreal metro. Blue line. Edouard-Montpetit station.

Roses have signed two 30+ year old players.

30 year old Gabrielle Lambert who played at UQTR and then spent time in France and Germany. The largely back up keeper has worn the colours of Montpellier, Saint-Etienne & Freiburg.

And the first foreign player in 34 year old defensive mid Charlotte Bilbault. She has 56 caps with France with 1 goal and last played in Montpellier.

The Rise are looking to play at Swangard. But they want better pitch maintenance, increase seating to 6k, better locker rooms, HD scoreboard, Rise branding, design enhancements and more staffing.

Rise are proposing to share certain stadium enhancement costs. They also want a revenue share model with Burnaby via tickets. Rental fee is to be fixed.

Of note, they included their attendance projections which is 6k in year 1, 7.5k in year 2 and 9k in year 3. Compared to the progression of NWSL & CPL attendance, these are aggressive goals with standard ticket pricing.

As seen with certain NWSL teams, it is achievable with the right vibes but it can also be easily derailed by toxic workplace issues, having a sponsor with baggage and tone deaf marketing.

Some quick comments:

- Looking to expand Swangard, with 6k permanent seating

- 1k deposits for Rise

Council seems enthusiasm about it, with some reservation on ensuring it remains used for other activities. No mention of Supercross being a higher priority, so that's a plus...

Got a laugh from the Supercross line thanks.

Also mentions the final will be in a "predetermined venue" which I fear might be a mistake. It's better to have fans packing the stadium that care who wins. For example, if the game is in Vancouver and it's between Halifax and Ottawa, are people in the stadium going to care who wins?
