Like Flores? Why did Mitrovic have to file before showing up? We allow others who aren’t willing to be capped, why not him?

Did the U-21 European Championship Qualifiers provisionally cap-tie Mitrovic? He played in them last November against Ukraine, so maybe that provisionally cap-tied him, making a switch to Canada necessary to play.

Flores hadn't been provisionally cap tied to Mexico I don't believe. He had only played in friendlies, not competitive matches.

Which is why I think if Serbia was so hot on his kid, he’d shut up, considering they’re an objectively better soccer team than us with objectively better marketing opportunities.

They are objectively better than us no doubt but marketing opportunities? I have to classify that one under subjective. Why would you say he has better marketing opportunities with Serbia?

Mid level poland feels slightly better than lateral. It should keep him off the Serbia NT senior radar (unless he kills it), which may be positive for us.

May also suggest the CSA were not full of it to consider him below the likes of Nelson in the depth chart.

Not that they are the be-all and end-all, but in the current UEFA club coefficient country rankings Serbia is 16 and Poland is 30!

It is because Serbia is top-heavy just like Scotland. All the money and the results are with the top 2 clubs. Poland is more interesting because it is more balanced.

I get it.

But Serbia full Men's NT isn't calling him playing at that level either.

Still a pretty meh move after all the bluster from his father.

This is an awful move. It is lateral and literally much father away geographically from the biggger European leagues. He is better off playing in the MLS.

Good move for CANMNT tho.

Also Serba's league is ranked 11th best. Will move in to top 10 next season. Poland is ranked 28th. So yeah this is vary much a downgrade for him. Especially if this is a mid table team. Lol poor kid. Ivan fucked up.

1) It may have nothing to do with Ivan

2) If Red Star or Partizan didn't want to buy him and he finishes top 2 in Poland with them next year then he is the one laughing.

3) Nothing has been signed yet.

This move is not strictly worse. It may not be the best but it isn't "awful".
