So it all fits: they have signed Tajon to cover for Cuadrado. Big boots to fill. A player who can go both ways on the right side. But Cuadrado is more a defender going forward with certain tenacity, than a winger coming back to defend.

Maybe this is Tajon's career arch if he manages to stick with Inter over the long term. Cuadrado was more winger than defender when he was Tajon's age.

If Tajon plays it right, it could work out well, since Cuadrado turns 36 in May, was  a franchise player at Juve, first on loan from Chelsea, then on contract, but is nearing the end of his career. Inter signing him this year was an odd decision, but it was a bit of a stopgap to not solving their RB position last summer.

It certainly was and doing so was clearly preferred to signing Tajon at the time. In the end, Cuadrado had those injury struggles, which is the risk when you sign older players, and had to circle back to Tajon in the end. Fortunate for him and us they did. Will be a great environment to hone the defensive side of his game.

Just want to agree, Cuadrado had some years where he was scoring like crazy, think before he went to Chelsea. He has scored for Colombia too, Tajon would be doing amazing to get even a part of that attacking prowess and get somewhat close to his defensive game.

To be honest, I am not sure Inter feel Tajon at RB has to match Cuadrado, they can get goals from elsewhere, they can defend as a block, they have a good keeper, for now he just has to fit in and be part of the machine.

I have no idea how representative this game is of the league but Inter are light years ahead of Monza (currently in 11th).   Based on this, it is no wonder they are in first.   They look pretty slick.

And on that note, it should be a huge developmental opportunity for Tajon to play on this environment.   It is clearly a step up.

He was on the bench, m. 65, not warming up. So since they have already made two changes, if they don't send him out to warm up soon, we won't see him.

Oh. They are still at 3 subs in Italy?

Edit: No
