CanPL4Goderich
There has not been many developments as of late, but rest assured we continue to work behind the scenes to bring Canadian Premier League to Goderich. We have liaised with some top officials from the league and let them know that we are all in. Let's bring it home! Spelled Gaol though. It's actually the site of the last public execution in Canada.

I'm originally from Goderich, that's not town hall, that's the county courthouse. I think the courthouse and/or the entire downtown Square has historical designation which would make building anything like a stadium difficult. I've attached a photo of the actual towh hall. Which, like much of the downtown area, has a historical designation.

nolando
My brother-in-law is from Goderich. Says they have the best donuts in the country. Can it be a donut shaped stadium at least - The Big Dough perhaps?

I don't know about donuts, but the bakery, actually just a few doors up from the town hall I posted a picture of, has amazing cookies. When downtown Goderich was smashed by a tornado in 2011, I remember that one of the reporters from Winnipeg was a Goderich native and mentioned he had been all across Canada and Goderich still had the best cookies. He preferred the lemon cookies, I'm a chocolate chip man myself.
jpg75
Pretty much any cookie that doesn't have raisins in it is a good cookie. Oranje and Ams1984

They may very well be the best, but I just can't trust the opinion of someone who says lemon cookies are their favourite.

Touché... they may be their own category indeed. Nevertheless, they shouldn’t be sullied by the putrifying presence of raisins.

Alex D
Sorry to drag this thread off topic, but after moving to Chatham I found that they don't put chocolate chunks in their banana bread. Admin
I convinced the people at second cup once to put the banana bread in the panini machine for a bit. Then cover it with butter and ciniman. Good
Tigers
Never toasted banana bread, I've always popped it in the microwave and then buttered. Gonna have to try that.

CanPL4Goderich
The pastries in Goderich are great as a whole. Hopefully, when we get our stadium we will be able to have those on offer and some craft beer.
