I am a big fan of players playing the same position with club and national team. Davies is also player of the year in CONCACAF. Everyone can get better, but he’s pretty damn good now. Has playing left back at his club really hurt him? Hard to say yes. Would he become a better player for Canada as a dedicated winger for Bayern? Maybe. Perhaps he’s just one of those special players you can put anywhere and he is going to thrive. That kid is truly a gift.
