It's as much a convention centre as it is a sports stadium, and you can't have permanent grass in a place like that (pun not intended).

Fair enough then. At least BMO perma-expansion and new or upgraded training fields like @Unnamed Trialist mentions should be left behind.

Dunedin hosted 6 group games for the WWC in 2023 - three pitches were upgraded as practice facilities.  One of them immediately got turned into a rugby ground.  Point being - don't count on anything .
