TSN had an impressive CMNT WC ad yesterday which may have been shown previously..

They have definitely been running ads for a while already. "How far will they go" or something to that effect.

So this Argentine beer company isn't the first, but I do love that Wheeler's voice made it into an Argentinian commercial.

Did Wheeler get a royalty for this or did his part also go to CSB?

His royalty should goto CSB, hahaha.  Has anyone else shot to prominance more than him since the CMNT/CPL /CSB conflaguration??

Just a friendly public service announcement that the V Cup final between VWC and TFC is happening tonight.  I am sure most know about it but sometimes you can forget about an important game if you don’t happen to check in on that part of the forum for a bit.  Pacific FC are also playing Waterhouse FC (Jamaica) in a CONCACAF league game earlier in the evening.  Both games on OS.

Excellent, thank you sir. I was hoping to find something to watch beforehand, what with the late start and all, and this match totally flew under my radar.

TV network ads are in a different category since they don't pay for ad time. And in Canada, the networks usually don't hire an agency to do the creative and production work.

TSN is running their ads to ensure the audience level they're promising to paying advertisers will be met - otherwise, they'll have to give them free ad time in 2023.

I looking to see if this World Cup be viewed like the Olympics where Canadian firms actually do Canada/Olympic focused ads? Or will they just completely ignore it and run holiday gift giving focused ads?

It really hit home the weird timing of the World Cup when my wife and I were looking at when to travel to visit her family. One of the potential days was the day of the World Cup final. It's literally 1 week before Christmas.

Canadians in MLS

Canadian's continue to put up strong numbers for MLS sides, particularly with the Canadian clubs.  We are only 2 goals away from equaling last season's goal tally by Canadians and are already 3 assists more this season.  We should also blow by total minutes played by Canadians in the coming weeks as well.

Canadian Player Minutes by Club

Montreal - 8,817 minutes - 10,977 minutes including Goalkeeping

Toronto - 11,567 minutes

Vancouver - 6,084 minutes - 7,189 minutes including Goalkeeping

US MLS Teams - 4,435 minutes - 8,395 minutes including Goalkeeping

Just wondering if there is a link somewhere to minutes played for CPL loanees aka Yao, Sirois, Rea.

I don't want to give you more work. Your job is fantastic and appreciated

I started to do CPL statistics last season but there were so many Canadians that it became overwhelming.  Also, why I stopped completing the USL as well.

I can 100% add CPL players on loan from MLS.  That won't be too difficult to add.

Hundal has been on the bench for Miami recently.  Gotta think they rate him.

Less likely but Ranjitsingh has been Bono's backup for a few games with Westberg out injured.  I'm not sure how long Westburg is out but it would take an injury or a red card to Bono for Ranjitsingh to see the field.

Ricketts is going to be part of TSN's World Cup broadcast. And he's going to do it from Qatar.

Shame. There goes his chance at making the squad....

Joking aside, great opportunity for him. 61 caps, 17 goals, an active MLS player for the current Voyageurs Cup holders, and someone who bridges the gap between the generation of pain and the generation of glory. Seems like a great guy as well. Excellent choice for a panelist!

Isn't Ranjitsingh a T+T international?

Osorio having a monster season by the way. 8 goals yes, but also 6 assists as well. If he stays healthy he's going to hit double digits for both.

And what about Edwards on 6 assists? That really stood out for me!

Thanks to @Corazon for compiling these lists, yet again. Appreciate it bro.

Weirdly Edwards has not been starting lately
