Not our player, but the captain of Equatorial Guinea has just been deemed ineligible to represent them. He played 26 times for Spain’s youth teams and apparently only received EG citizenship after he played his first international game, which makes him ineligible, and also EG only requested his transfer from the Spanish FA and not FIFA. EG have won both of their WCQ matches, both 1-0, both on goals from this very player, both now 3-0 losses the other way.

It's taken you 11 years to deal with this. That's almost a, "that's on you" territory of embarrasment.

That's really disappointing for Equatorial Guinea. They almost looked likely to get their first World Cup qualification. Imagine watching Equatorial Guinea vs Serbia on a hot summer day at BMO Field.

Victor Fung (2007) was involved in a Venezuela U20 camp earlier this month in Spain, as well as a U18 camp in May. He’s also been on the bench twice for Inter Miami II this season.
