Trillium
http://www.canadasoccer.com/files/CSA_2009_W2WC_Brochure_EN.pdf The Canadian Soccer Association highly recommends, that no 11 a-side soccer be played before u13. Will the CSA actually sanction a u13 team going away for such a tournament ? The LTPD plan lays out that players at u15 can be in pro club environments... seems to be some serious contradictions here for the CSA technical folks to hold the line on. What is the alternative here? The CSA blocks a group of U13s from playing continental matches because it's against our LTPD? I'm sure exceptions can be made, ultimately whatever helps their development helps their development and I can't see this hurting it.

Unnamed Trialist
11-a-side is not played in Spain until sub-13, turning 13 that year. This is pretty standard now, you are starting to see that 11 player teams are only made up at that age for special tournaments. It seems to me that Concacaf u-13 champions should also be played 7 a side, like almost all major cups of that age, would be much better.
