BuzzAndSting
Anybody know why the Impact or MLS would purchase ad space on the boards at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York? I noticed it tonight during the Leafs game; all it says is "MONTREAL 2012" with the MLS logo as the "0."

Grizzly
Because when the Habs play the Islanders there are more Habs fans than Isles fans at the arena plus a very large tv viewing audience in Quebec. With the Isles attendance I doubt board advertising is very expensive.
joepaco
and Joey Saputo said the adds came as a package deal and that they were dirt cheap because this is the Isles .....
Trident
It's cheaper to have ads there against Toronto/Montreal/Ottawa all season, than it is to get an adboard at the Bell Centre for a game, no? Plus, it's visible in Candian markets when it's on tv. This happens a lot in NHL arenas, often the side facing the camera, are products/businesses that arent even active in the home team's area.
